If you would like a friend, family member or trained staff member present during your appointment, you have the right to request a chaperone. We are committed to maintaining your dignity, privacy and wellbeing throughout your treatment.

This policy ensures client comfort, dignity and safety during all appointments.

  1. Your Right to a Chaperone

You may request a chaperone at any time. A chaperone may be:

  • A friend or family member
  • A trained member of staff (if available)

Requests should be made at booking where possible.

Your practitioner will:

  • Respect your request for a chaperone
  • Explain the role of the chaperone
  • Ensure privacy and dignity throughout
  • Pause or stop treatment if you feel uncomfortable

A chaperone:

  • Provides reassurance and emotional support
  • Observes the interaction to ensure professionalism
  • Does not participate in the procedure

A chaperone may be recommended if:

  • You feel anxious or unsure
  • Additional reassurance is needed
  • The practitioner believes it supports best practice

Chaperones must respect client confidentiality. They may not record or share information about your appointment.
