If you would like a friend, family member or trained staff member present during your appointment, you have the right to request a chaperone. We are committed to maintaining your dignity, privacy and wellbeing throughout your treatment.

This policy ensures client comfort, dignity and safety during all appointments.
- Your Right to a Chaperone
You may request a chaperone at any time. A chaperone may be:
- A friend or family member
- A trained member of staff (if available)
Requests should be made at booking where possible.
- Practitioner Responsibilities
Your practitioner will:
- Respect your request for a chaperone
- Explain the role of the chaperone
- Ensure privacy and dignity throughout
- Pause or stop treatment if you feel uncomfortable
- Chaperone Role
A chaperone:
- Provides reassurance and emotional support
- Observes the interaction to ensure professionalism
- Does not participate in the procedure
- When a Chaperone May Be Required
A chaperone may be recommended if:
- You feel anxious or unsure
- Additional reassurance is needed
- The practitioner believes it supports best practice
- Confidentiality
Chaperones must respect client confidentiality. They may not record or share information about your appointment.
